This page contains a list and basic introduction to the members of the development team at SUBTLE STYLE.
Information[]
SUBTLE STYLE is a freelance video game developer founded in 2001.
It all started from SUBTLE's time working for a certain video game company, to personally publish his illustrations back for the company's fighting games in 1995, the same year as the foundation of another video game developer French Bread, the creator of Under Night In-Birth and co-creators of Type-Moon's Tsukihime fighting game series adaption, Melty Blood. As of 2001, SUBTLE founded SUBTLE STYLE and produce a dōjin fighting game series Akatsuki EN-Eins, starting from Akatsuki Prototyp 1 in 2003 and its finalized title Akatsuki Blitzkampf in 2007, both of which released in Microsoft Windows. Due to a commercial success of Akatsuki Blitzkampf, SUBTLE shift the series to the Arcade era, starting from the last Akatsuki Blitzkampf update title Ausf. Achse in 2007, then shift forward to make a sequel EN-Eins Perfektewelt in 2010, yet currently exclusive in Japan.
Unofficially prior entering worldwide recognition, SUBTLE STYLE's original series' games use to be part of side-sub culture and being included as side tournament. Officially, due to one of its characters being included in Arc System Works' related-games (Akatsuki as a guest character in French Bread's Under Night In-Birth, before he and the rest of chosen playable roster join multiple crossover fighting game BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle), SUBTLE STYLE becoming well-known across worldwide, due to its ongoing freelance co-operation with helping French Bread on developing the latter's games.
Ever since getting official worldwide recognition, though followed by the affect of COVID-19 pandemic affects the dire situation of Japanese Arcade era, SUBTLE STYLE return to continue their development the last updates of Akatsuki EN-Eins and possible port them to home version(s) (particularly Windows (mainly Steam)), unless the demands and funds to port of other home consoles such as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox One/Series X and S): First begin in 2019 on planning to port Ausf. Achse to PC (albeit delayed due to the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic prior to vaccine exist); as well as announcing an update title of EN-Eins Perfektewelt under tentative name Anastasis in February 21, 2022, first release in Nesica Arcade, with its crowdfunding first started in April 26, 2022 until June 5, 2022 before launching the game once the funding goal is met. According to SUBTLE and KO-Hatsu in July 18, 2022 from KO-Hatsu's Ci-En e-mail, Nesica Arcade port was chosen for Anastasis, in response to most arcade cabinet manufacturing had been sold out and one of its manufacturers withdraw, and because it has system that allows to play different games, including Anastasis provided within a single cabinet the center owns and capable of online network update patches and matches.
