Kanae is a recurring supporting character of the series. She is one of the five first rosters in Akatsuki Prototyp 1. She initially started out the lieutenant for the intelligence department, Ground Staff Overseeing Department in Akatsuki-related titles, until she was unknowingly relieved, and got hired as an agent of Cabinet Intelligence and Research Office shortly after in EN-Eins Perfektewelt (Anastasis).

After Akatsuki was revived fifty years later in 266X AD-IJ/200X AD-GR, she was ordered by her boss, Senke to capture the revived soldier and recover the Blitz Motor.

Ending Description: At some point after Gesellschaft's collapse alongside Murakumo, Kanae returned home and submitted an extensive report but for some reason the case was covered up as just a cave-in incident. And so Murakumo's prediction became a reality.

In the year 20XX AD, in the Tibetan Tsangpo Canyon, there was a large-scale cave-in incident. First Lieutenant Kanae, a GSO intelligence operative assigned to an investigation, was suddenly relieved of her post and demoted. Kanae was informed by CIRO of the truth of the matter and was given a mission in secrecy.

- Prior her post-Akatsuki-related title appearances, Kanae's kanji name was listed as “
鼎二尉 (Kanae Nī)”, which means it's "Lieutenant Kanae". The Lieutenant part was finally removed as of EN-Eins Perfektewelt.
