Ernst von Adler is a recurring major antagonist and one of the anti-villains of the series, debuting in Akatsuki Blitzkampf. He is a researcher for Ahnenerbe, and its eventual owner, Gesellschaft, where he is the latter's Waffen SS Commander as well. Adler is the original Elektrosoldat.
Appearance[]
Adler use to have a same skin, hair and eye colors as his clones, Elektrosoldat. By the time after using a Type-X of Blitzkamp Motor, his skin, hair and eye colors change permanently to pale, white and red respectively. The differences between Elektrosoldat's well-dressed short hairstyle, is that Adler's hair still is a longer and messier, befitting his mad scientist ego.
He and his clones still shares black belt with silver buckle, black pants, black leather shoes and black gloves. To differentiate from his clones’ Nazi-style uniform coat colors, Adler's own uniform coat colors are black and red, along with the buttons being white. The uniform coat colors between Adler and his clones becoming more different completely in EN-Eins Perfektewelt, whereas Adler's uniform coat color schemes switches between black and red. In Perfektewelt's artwork, Adler shares a same button color as his clone, except for the in-game still white.
Personality[]
Adler is very obsessive with his endless research and overconfidence with superior complex. While appearing arrogant, smug and selfish, Adler knows his limit and very cautious until he figure out how to become immortal without resurrecting in the body which happens to be incomplete, such as having been tirelessly improving his own Elektrosoldat clone body before his either original body or clone bodies dies.

Trivia[]
- Adler had few things he originally shared with Elektrosoldat.
- Japanese voice actor prior to Ausf. Achse onward. Also, he was uncredited in the initial release because he and Elektrosoldat shared a same voice actor.
- Sprites in the initial release of Akatsuki Blitzkampf prior to recent patches, such as the face expressions.
- Adler's full name was revealed in the fifth episode of Subtle Style's radio show[1], hosted by Adler's Japanese voice actor, Reiji Nagase and the Japanese voice actor of both Sai and Fritz, Shion Hibiki.
- Adler appears to be inspired from Sam Raimi universe counterpart of Norman Osborn, but in his Green Goblin persona at most part.
- The first version of both Akatsuki and EN-Eins artbooks' character page section has Adler's page mistakenly use Elektrosoldat's sprite images instead of Adler's: The pose pictures on Akatsuki forgot to replace Elektrosoldat's pose with Adler's, and the standing idle pose on color list of EN-Eins is Elektrosoldat's instead of Adler's. This will later be fixed in latest versions of the book, mainly after the Projected/post-launch version of EN-Eins Anastasis.
- As Adler's EN-Eins Versus/Lifebar/Boss Interlude/Match Win portrait is a redrawn head version of Elektrosoldat's portrait in the same game, it would mean to be safe that Inazuma and Valkyria may have their Versus/Lifebar/Boss Interlude/Match Win portraits being redrawn head versions of their respective originators' portraits, Akatsuki and Tempelritter, for budget saving in Projected/post-launch version.
- For some reason, Adler's hairstyle sprite hasn't been update, even in later games after the original release of Akatsuki Blitzkampf.
