Blitztanks (Denkōsensha in Japan) are one of the mooks in the series, debuting in Akatsuki Blitzkampf. It is most commonly built to serve Gesellschaft and its leading section, New Orders of Knights Templar.
Appearance[]
Blitztanks are large-human-sized giant black (white in EN-Eins Perfektewelt) cyber-tanks with a skull-head which contains glowing red eyes that can shoot lasers. It has brown tank treads. The back of its weapon is for Blitz Mine, while the front contains various gun-based weapons it can change into: close-range machine gun, flamethrower and a laser cannon.
In its ending's X-Ray from Akatsuki Blitzkampf (Ausf. Achse), where it reveals Blitztanks origins as former humans that have partial skeletons left after transformation into a mindless tank.
Personality[]
At first, Blitztanks are nothing more than mindless tanks. If one of them becoming sentient in progress, they might have remaining humanity left.
Whether mindless or not, as seen in the crossover BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, a Blitztank was capable of having a sense of humor when one of the opponents from another world finds that fighting a tank doesn't make sense.
Plot[]
Past (Developement of Blitztank)[]
Blitztank were originally meant to be in development infused with an alternate variation of the Blitz Motor called Perfecti Motor for super soldier program during the World War II. However, the project was cancelled when the war was over. Make matters worst, the tank project was found to be lethal:
- Cybernizing the soldiers into a cyborg with a tank body.
- Human Soul is required.
- Losing almost their humanity.
- Weak to Anti-Tank Combat system of Blitz Motors like regular tanks.
Years later, a research expedition turned terrorist organization Gesellschaft revives the project. As Blitztank's origins to be either former humans or artificial beings whose dying in battle, Fritz appears to be involved in this project via genetic surgeries prior to recently defect Gesellschaft fifty years later.
Akatsuki Blitzkampf (Ausf. Achse)[]
After Akatsuki's revival in fifty years later, one Blitztank who was in a middle of deployment encounter him and opposing Gesellschaft to find out who it was.
Ending Description (semi-canonical): Upon defeating Murakumo, the Blitztank now regaining its memories, states it feels cold and fears dying, but Murakumo on his last breath tells it that death will come to it soon before succumbing to his wounds with the Blitztank (as foretold by Murakumo) having what's left of its life force depleted soon joining after. With the ending image depicts the design of a Blitzsoldier, Inazuma.
EN-Eins Perfektewelt (Anastasis)[]
In the year 20XX AD a secret society, the New Order of Knights Templar, began a worldwide invasion. The Order restored the living weapon Blitztank, whose development was setback by the end of the war to literally trample the world.

Other Appearance[]
BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle[]
See its crossover appearance's page
Blitztank is the first downloadable characters representing its home series accompanying the protagonist Akatsuki in the crossover BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, starting from the 2.0 update.
The one who requested Arc System Works to include Blitztank earlier in this crossover, was Subtle Style itself. Unlike other cast from its home series, Blitztank's sprites are drawn in Arc System Works' artstyle instead of French Bread's Under Night In-Birth-style (due to Akatsuki guest appearing in the said original French Bread game).
The Blitztank in this game is a male.
